Konica FP-1 Program

At first I did not want to shoot this camera since it is Program Mode, or AV mode only., and I didn't like not having the option of shooting in Manual mode. I have to say though, that it did a wonderful job of choosing the correct exposure! It's a solid little camera that really performed well. I just may need to find more lenses for it than the 57mm I used for these shots. I used Fuji 400 film for these.

I googled for Konica FP-1 and found this blog post. I think I have also seen your name in any of the Facebook photography groups, maybe Negative Posivites Podcast.

I today got an FP-1 in the mail, sadly, it won't start up. It takes 4 batteries, so I will first make sure my batteries haven't got stale, but I tried two different sets and it doesn't look promising.

The FP-1 is not my cup of tea either, but the glass is (especially the 40mm f1.8) is generally very well regarded, and I think it's a great camera to give to someone new into film photography.

You are correct! I am a member of the NegPos community amongst others. Thank you for stopping by my site and I'm truly amazed it showed up in a Google search :D

I did end up selling the FP-1 because I felt bad owning so many cameras, but with the way prices are going up, I'm not sure I'll ever sell another camera!

Best of luck with yours, but I agree, the lenses alone are worth picking up if nothing else, to adapt onto a mirrorless digital.
